Pink Wall, Palm Shadow

A first, small showing. Opposites that agree: the restless and the calm, the sharp and the soft, one noon sun drawing both.

A single palm frond, sharp and green, rises through the center of a vertical frame. Behind it, out of focus, is a smooth pink wall with rounded corners and a porthole window, marked by soft palm shadows, under a blue sky.

The wall is calm and the shadow is restless, yet they agree. The frond stands in front, sharp; its own shadow lies on the wall, soft, as if the plant were remembering itself.
